Dr. Dawit Alemu, Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Medicine at Ohio University

Dr. Dawit Alemu holds a Ph.D. in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina. His passion lies in global health, with a focus on the sexual and reproductive health of women from sub-Saharan Africa. Alemu's past research has explored women’s empowerment, violence, HIV prevention, and female genital mutilation. Additionally, he has experience in implementation science research.
