An appreciative Inquiry of Campus-based Support Programs for Former Foster Youth Pursuing Postsecondary Education in Ohio

Counseling and Higher Education Doctoral student, Faustina Mensah, shares her inquiry into post-secondary support programs for Ohio students who have experiences in the foster care system. This inquiry helped Mensah to design a strengths-based study which will seek to use the Appreciative Inquiry approach to understand what is working well with comprehensive campus-based support services (CSPs) supporting former foster youth pursuing postsecondary education in Ohio. In line with this purpose, the central research question guiding this qualitative case study is what are the life-giving elements of CSPs that serve students with foster care experience in postsecondary institutions in Ohio?
