Join us as Laura Ann Twagira and Subject Librarian for African Studies, Araba Dawson-Andoh discuss Twagira's book Embodied Engineering: Gendered Labor, Food Security, and Taste in Twentieth Century Mali. Twagira's work rejects the image of African women as subjects and unveils a history about gender, development, and improvisation.
