James Rodehaver, Esq. (OHIO HTC History BA, Contemporary History Certificate '94) will share his experiences addressing human rights challenges in some of the world's most complex conflict zones. Rodehaver has served as Coordinator of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria and Deputy Director of the UN Human Rights Unit in Afghanistan. He will also discuss the role of the United Nations in promoting international diplomacy and advancing human rights globally. This event is co-sponsored by the Honors Tutorial College and the Contemporary History Institute, and the Department of History.
