Join Ebony Bobcat Network (EBN) Cleveland and fellow Cleveland-area Bobcats in celebrating Bobcat Beautification Month and Earth Day! This event is a collaboration with the Cleveland Alumni Network and the Ohio University Women’s Club of Greater Cleveland, and all alumni, family, and friends are welcome to attend.

Each year, EBN partners with the African American Cultural Garden (AACG) in Rockefeller Park and Greenhouse for a spring cleanup and community garden project. The details for this event are as follows:

  • Bring tools if you have them — gloves, shovels, rakes, etc.
  • Tools also will be provided by AACG
  • Snacks, beverages and lunch will be provided
  • Feel free to pick a time within the 9 a.m.–2 p.m. window to volunteer
  • A group photo is always taken at the end of the day
  • Dress according to the weather and wear comfortable shoes/boots
  • Our official hosts are Carl Ewing and fellow Bobcat, Obed Shelton
  • The closest parking is along the garden's upper terrace on Wheelock Road, 600 feet south of St. Clair

Wear some Bobcat attire that you don't mind getting a little dirty and join us in making a difference!

While advance registration is not required, we would love to know that you plan to attend.

If you have any questions about the event, contact Lynn Charles at lecharles319@gmail.com. If you need help with event registration, contact Advancement Events at eventsadv@ohio.edu.
