Communication in Practice: A Professional Development Luncheon

This interactive luncheon is designed for sophomore and senior nursing students and focuses on strengthening one of the most essential skills in healthcare—effective communication. Through guided discussion and real-world examples from professionals, participants will explore strategies for clear, confident, and compassionate communication in professional medical and interpersonal settings. The event will focus on active listening, navigating difficult conversations, teamwork, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and co-workers. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, reflect on their own communication styles, and gain practical tools they can apply in clinical experiences and future healthcare careers.
