The D.C.-area Bobcats from the Ebony Bobcat Network and the Nation’s Capital Alumni Network are teaming up again to help clean the Potomac River watershed in Fairfax County, VA. We are scheduled to clean a section of the Potomac River shoreline in John Byers Park from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. Parking is available on side streets near the park.

Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) will have vinyl gloves available, but if you have a specific size or type of glove you prefer, we recommend bringing those. Trash bags also will be provided. If you have any trash pickers, those might be helpful so you’re not bending down as much (we do not provide pickers). Also, long pants and waterproof boots are recommended. Waders or hip-boots will not be needed.

Don't miss this opportunity to share stories of times in Athens while beautifying our Potomac River shoreline with fellow Bobcats and friends!
