Session Description - Join me for a walkthrough of how I redesigned a course to incorporate AI. This session will provide you with examples of teaching resources including an AI policy, syllabus, lessons, assignments, and an assessment model. We will reflect on lessons learned from the initial implementation. This includes making connections to the 4 Cs of 21st-century learning (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity) and exploring various AI tools and strategies. Leave with expanded thinking about using AI for teaching, learning, working, and life.

Session Description – Dr. Wu and two doctoral students in the ILDT program will respectively discuss preliminary research findings from three studies: (1) Pre-service teachers' STEM instructional preparedness and leveraging AI in lesson planning; (2) Research categorizing (text to image, text to audio, text to website, etc.), rating, and evaluating pros and cons of over 200 of the best AI tools currently available on the market; and (3) A systematic review identifying effective professional development strategies for developing AI literacy framework in K-12 teacher preparation.
Teacher Agency and A.I. –Reconsidering the 80/20 Split
