About this Event
Add to calendarThis workshop explores the integration of a semester-long Generative AI (GenAI) project in a preparatory chemistry course designed to enhance students’ learning and critical thinking. The project guides students through iterative tasks, including generating mock EPA press releases, developing study guides, and creating practice exams using AI tools. Emphasis is placed on responsible AI usage, ethical considerations, and the application of AI to core chemistry concepts. The session will present findings from pre- and post-project surveys assessing shifts in student perceptions of AI, comfort levels, and ethical concerns. Attendees will gain insights into designing AI-integrated coursework that fosters academic integrity and meaningful student engagement.
