The exhibit, "Enslavement & Abolition in Antebellum Texts & Contemporary Artists' Books," features a selection of historic and recent items from the rare book collection that document, illustrate, explain, interpret, and question enslavement and abolition, during and since the antebellum period. Curated by Mariana Dantas, Associate Professor of History, and Miriam Intrator, Head of Archives & Special Collections and Rare Book Librarian, the exhibit is on view on the 3rd floor of Alden Library, outside Room 319 The Friends Room, anytime the 3rd floor is open

Please join us for a roundtable discussing items in the exhibit on November 12, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM.
