Join the Center for International Studies (CIS), International Students Union (ISU), and Center for Law, Justice & Culture (CLJC) for a panel discussion on “Global Perspectives on U.S. Elections: Impact(ing) Africa, Asia, and Latin America," featuring expert insights from Dr. Kathleen Sullivan (POLS) on constitutional law and U.S. elections, Dr. Loren Lybarger (CARS) on Middle East policy questions with special focus on Israel, Palestinians, and Lebanon; and Dr. Brad Jokisch (GEOG) on migration from Latin America to the US and the impacts of a trade war with Latin America.

Featuring:
Dr. Kathleen Sullivan (POLS): A political scientist focusing on the politics of governance, Professor Sullivan conducts research on constitutional law in its social, cultural and political context, with expertise on lawsuits and politics of certification around the 2020 election.
Dr. Loren Lybarger (CARS): A religious studies specialist, Professor Lybarger conducts research on how religion, nationalism, war, mass displacement, and state violence shape identities across generations, with ethnographic projects on Argentina, Palestine, and Palestinian diaspora communities.
Dr. Brad Jokisch (GEOG): An ethnographer focusing on Latin America, Professor Jokisch conducts research on migration and land use change among small-holder farmers in the Ecuadoran Andes, including immigration to the United States.
