The Household Hazardous Waste Collection is open to ALL residents of Jefferson and Belmont Counties WITH proof of residency.

* Please follow the ENTRANCE/EXIT signs and remain in your vehicle.  Staff will remove and separate items at the event and place materials in the correct containers.

Items That WILL BE Accepted:

✓   Household cleaners
✓   Lab packs – acids/bases
✓   Lawn and garden chemicals
✓   Pool chemicals
✓   Aerosols
✓   Roof and driveway sealers
✓   Light bulbs with mercury
✓   Lead acid and dry cell batteries
✓   Automotive Fluids – Motor oil –antifreeze
✓   Gasoline, Kerosene

✓   Propane cylinders – grill sized or smaller
✓   Mercury
✓   Batteries (Lead Acid/NiCad/Lithium/Alkaline)
✓   Organic Acids
✓   Fire Extinguishers
✓   Pesticides, Herbicides, Insecticides
✓   4 ft bulbs/8 ft bulbs, Crushed bulbs
✓   Lighters

✓   Paint and paint related products/Solvents, strippers, turpentine, varnishes

Items That WILL NOT Be Accepted:

No Commercial or Business Waste
No PCB’s, Transformers, Capacitors
No Compressed Gases (other than propane)
No Explosives/Ammunition

No Smoke Detectors
No Medical/Infectious wastes No DEA Controlled Substances No Radioactive wastes
No appliances, televisions, computers, tires, general recycling or trash (See Community
Collections)
