Join the Southern Wayne Advocacy Council, Wayne National Forest, Ohio University Southern, and the Lawrence-Scioto Solid Waste Management District for the first-ever Lawrence County Youth Environmental Stewardship and Cleanup Day.
Approximately 90 Lawrence County high school students will participate in hands-on cleanup efforts paired with educational sessions on stewardship, native plants, water quality, and caring for public spaces. Students will rotate through activities in small groups, including wildflower identification, water quality testing, forest recreation presentations, and cleanup work.
Participating students will receive documented service hours from Wayne National Forest.
