Workshop Details:

Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) have made a big impact on daily work activities in a short period of time. The intensity of the impact on medical practice and medical education is yet to be seen. Many people are already using generative AI tools to make their jobs easier, but it can be hard to know where to begin. Join Dr. Amanda Chiplock, Office of Faculty Learning & Advancement, for practical demonstrations and exercises on how to collaborate with AI tools to save time and energy on everyday work tasks. We will use a framework and useful prompts that can streamline tasks and help you achieve results and reach your productivity goals.

This hyper-interactive, virtual (Teams) workshop will help you grasp key concepts in artificial intelligence. You’ll see how AI can enhance your products (e.g., session activities, emails, outlines, research proposals), life, and career.

No prior experience with AI is needed to participate. If you have used AI or know something about it, join us to share your knowledge and experiences!

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain what a generative AI tool is and is not.
  • Discuss conditions in which using artificial intelligence is appropriate.
  • Demonstrate prompting for administrative or creative tasks related to your faculty role(s).
  • Identify at least 2 uses for implementing generative AI tools in your daily work practices.
