This session will equip OHIO faculty and staff with practical tools and techniques to effectively utilize alumni in advancing student learning, both within and beyond the classroom. The speaker will share examples of co-creating active learning experiences with alumni, highlighting both the benefits and challenges of such collaborations. Participants will leave the session with a clear roadmap that includes accessing a list of alumni, co-planning a scenario or case study, making adjustments, and nurturing the alumni relationship to create ongoing class engagement within and beyond the classroom. 

Learning Outcomes: After the learning session, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain the benefits of involving alumni in the classroom and the field. 
  • Identify and implement effective strategies for integrating alumni in courses and programs. 
  • Develop actionable steps to leverage alumni for curricular and co-curricular learning.
