Free Event Add to calendarHugh Ryan, historian and author of the recent book The Women's House of Detention: A Queer History of a Forgotten Prison, will do a talk and readings from the book followed by Q&A. The author will be giving the talk live from Brooklyn. This is an online event, with in-person participation: Lavender Menace will co-host an in-person gathering to watch the talk and cohost the Q&A from Baker University Center Conference Room 226, with the speaker on TEAMS. The live event will have ASL interpretation and autocaptions. This event will be recorded for asynchronous participation; a corrected transcript and video will be uploaded to LGBT Center YouTube page no sooner than two weeks after the event for asynchronous participants.
