The skills needed to teach English as a foreign language overseas vary greatly depending on the location and type of institution. This talk will compare stories of teaching at a children's center in Jordan, a university in Saudi Arabia, and a private language institute in Italy. The conversation will explore how those experiences influence pedagogical approaches to ESL-related courses at Ohio University.
