The Linguistics Colloquium series presents Mykhaylo Zakryzhevskyy discussing “Unlocking Language Learning: The Duolingo Method and Its Promising Future" on March 29 from 12:55 to 1:50 p.m. in Gordy 310 or via Microsoft TEAMS.

 

Zakryzhevskyy is an English Curriculum Designer at Duolingo, Pittsburgh and an alumnus of the M.A. in Applied Linguistics program at Ohio University.

 

Abstract: In this talk, we delve into the unique and highly effective Duolingo Method for language learning, illuminating its science-based approach that makes acquiring a new language accessible, enjoyable, and effective. We'll also gaze into the future of Duolingo, exploring the innovative directions we're taking to continually enhance language learning experiences for millions worldwide.
