#OhioMapsMapathon with OpenStreetMap: Improving Athens County's Mapped Infrastructure, Mar. 29
Join this mapathon in person in Tupper Hall 204 or virtually by registering. This event is open to the public.
Ohio University Libraries and Geography Department are hosting a Mapathon focused on, but not limited to Athens County, Ohio. No prior mapping experience necessary, we'll introduce and share how to use various tools both browser based editing and installed locally.
Ohio University's Data Services Librarian will walk attendees (both virtual or in person) through how to edit, the tools (including Apps for your phone), and ways improve where you care about in OpenStreetMap.
Learn how your contributions change what can be done with this open data resource. Learn about the quality assurance tools, broader linking of the data and new global datasets and maps built upon OpenStreetMap. Learn ways that this map intersects with other open data projects and tools including ESRI products.
