This June marks 150 years since Margaret “Maggie” Boyd became the first-ever woman to graduate from Ohio University – and we still honor her pioneering spirit and perseverance today. The University has created the Margaret Boyd Scholars Program to empower students, especially those who identify as women and other marginalized genders, to engage with one another; cultivate critical leadership skills; and become leaders and citizens at Ohio University, in the community, and beyond.
