DESCRIPTION:Simultaneously in person in Morton 320 and on Teams. 2025 Suren
der K. Jain Lecture Title: Leavitt path algebras at the crossroads of alge
bra\, analysis and noncommutative geometry. Speaker: Ashish K. Srivastava
 (Saint Louis University https://mathstat.slu.edu/~srivastava/) (PhD 2007 O
hio University) Abstract: Leavitt path algebras are certain quotients of
path algebras where the relations are inspired from Cuntz-Krieger relation
s for graph $C^*$-algebras. Leavitt path algebras have deep connections wi
th symbolic dynamics\, and they capture the homological properties of both
path algebras and their Koszul dual and hence they form an important clas
s of noncommutative algebras. We give a construction for graded automorphi
sms of Leavitt path algebras\, and as an application\, we study Zhang twis
t of Leavitt path algebras and describe new classes of irreducible represe
 ntations of Leavitt path algebras.
