DESCRIPTION:Meal with a Mentor offers the opportunity to strengthen connect
 ions between students and alumni with similar academic and industry interes
 ts. This unique event brings together four students and an alumni over dinn
 er\, hosted by Latitude 39\, Ohio University’s student-run restaurant. Dinn
 ers provide an opportunity for the featured alumni to share their experienc
 es in a casual environment. \n\n \n\nEach meal is organized by the Office o
 f Signature Academic Experiences in partnership with The Alumni Association
 . Six meals will be organized each semester with students and alumni repres
 ented from multiple disciplines.\n\n \n\nThis week we feature alum - Brian 
 Koscho - MFA in Communication Media Arts at Ohio University in April 2022\n
 \n \n\nBio: Brian Koscho is a media artist living in Athens\, Ohio. He is t
 he director and founder of Invisible Ground\, a project centered on place-b
 ased storytelling in local history using a podcast and a series of augmente
 d reality Immersive Historic Markers. Koscho completed his MFA in Communica
 tion Media Arts at Ohio University in April 2022. Along with his work in me
 dia\, Brian is an adjunct instructor at Ohio University in the Scripps Coll
 ege of Communication\, teaching podcasting at the School of Media Arts & St
 udies. Out in the community\, he has taught Community Storytelling\, Audio 
 Storytelling\, and Podcasting and helped with workshops on Documentary Film
  and Storytelling for high school students in Appalachian\, Ohio. Koscho ha
 s produced multimedia work and collaborated in various forms with Stuart’s 
 Opera House (where he worked from 2007-2019) and its Nelsonville Music Fest
 ival\, Inside Appalachia\, West Virginia Public Broadcasting\, POV\, WOUB P
 ublic Media\, Mid Atlantic Arts\, Foundation for Appalachian Ohio\, Ohio Hi
 story Connection\, Ohio Arts Council\, COAD\, Mount Zion Baptist Church Pre
 servation Society\, the Southeast Ohio History Center\, and many more organ
 izations.
