Join NAACP Athens County and RECA (Racial Equity Coalition of Appalachia) for a screening and discussion of the award winning documentary, Aint No Back to A Merry Go Round. This documentary revisits an interracial and interfaith protest against segregation at a community park and merry-go-round in metro DC, helping launch the national Civil Rights Movement of the 60s.  Timely, relevant, and encouraging, we hope this film sparks dialogue, allyship, and action towards a more inclusive community that embraces the diversity of experiences, identites, and backgrounds across our community.
