Dr. Neal, a celebrated Ohio Valley native, teacher, and performer, will showcase a rich tapestry of his life in music, sharing intriguing tales from his illustrious career alongside his performance. With a career spanning decades, Dr. Neal brings profound expertise to the stage, holding Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in piano performance from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, along with a Master’s in Music Theory from Ohio State University. He studied under the renowned Nadia Boulanger in France and earned a service playing certificate from the American Guild of Organists.

 

From teaching high school band and chorus to faculty roles at West Liberty State College and the College-Conservatory of Music, Dr. Neal’s vibrant career includes performances as a solo organist and pianist, conductor of community choral and instrumental programs, and large-scale piano recitals. He is widely known for productions like the "Pianorama" at the Capitol Music Hall and for touring extensively as an organist for variety groups and the circus.
