#NAHM2023In a common book project organized in conjunction with International Education Week focusing on This Land is Our Land: An Immigrant’s Manifesto by Suketu Mehta. This impassioned and thought-provoking book places current immigration debates in the United States in a global context by telling stories that reflect immigration experience, settler colonial legacies, and global inequalities. The project is coordinated by the Office of Global Affairs (OGA), Center for International Studies (CIS), Division of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), Multicultural Center (MCC), and Center for Law, Justice & Culture (CLJC), among other units, with the hopes of encouraging broad, diverse and inclusive participation of students, faculty and staff from across the university.
Copies of the book are available (first come, first served) at Yamada House 208 and Multicultural Center in Baker.
Participants will meet in a hybrid setting after reading the book to then join us for any of three discussion sessions!
