Title: Microelectronics Fabrication and Extreme Environment Electronics at AFRL

Abstract: Microelectronics and nanotechnology have transformed many aspects of daily life and promise to continue doing so through continued scaling and novel application-specific materials, devices, and architectures. In this talk I will review the fundamentals of microelectronics fabrication and highlight cleanroom fabrication capabilities at AFRL available for collaborative use, followed by discussion of some of our active research areas in extreme environment electronics. β-Ga2O3 for radiation-hardened electronics and AlScN for high-temperature memory will be highlighted.
