Current Ohio University vocal student, Jacob Simmons, has made it into the final round of the 9th Annual NextGen Vocal Competition. He was selected to be a semifinalist out of approximately 500 auditionees from across the country, and now, he's earned an all-expenses paid trip to perform live at the Lincoln Center.
We'd love to see some NYC Ohio University alumni supporting Jacob at the finals! The final concert is free, open to the public, and will be held at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center on Sunday, January 25, at 2 p.m. We recommend arriving early in order to get seats.
Bobcats and friends interested in meeting for brunch prior to the concert are invited to gather at The Smith Restaurant - Lincoln Square location (1900 Broadway at 63rd Street) at 11:30 a.m. for good food and Bobcat camaraderie. Please select this option during registration if you plan to join us so we can reserve a table of the appropriate size. Attendees will pay for their own food and beverages. For questions regarding the brunch, please contact Christa Sigman at pianorunner421@gmail.com.
Don't miss this opportunity to support a fellow Bobcat and enjoy some great music!
