  this year with an open house celebration on Thursday\, September 17\, fro
 m 6 to 8 p.m.\n\nThe event will feature music from the Chillicothe High Sc
 hool Marching Band led by Marching 110 alumna Michelle Turon and a Chillic
 othe High School string quartet led by director Kyndal Preston.\n\nOn Sept
 ember 16\, 1946\, the Chillicothe branch of Ohio University opened with 28
 1 students in 41 classes at Chillicothe High School. OHIO Chillicothe was 
 established in response to a need identified by the community's businesses
  and citizens. Today\, OHIO Chillicothe continues the tradition of providi
 ng access to affordable\, high-quality education. This anniversary event c
 ommemorates the contributions of many to fulfill the dreams of our communi
 ty.
