This event is hosted by alumnae Jacquelin R. Weber ’96, ’22 and Sarah Schneider ’87. We’re pleased to welcome guests from Ohio University, including:
Professor Amber Sheeks — Assistant Professor of Instruction, Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences
Professor Sheeks completed her BS in Allied Medicine–Medical Dietetics at The Ohio State University and her MPH (Nutrition) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Ohio University. In addition to teaching, she maintains a private practice as a contract dietitian and lactation consultant and serves on the boards of the Ohio Lactation Consultant Association (OLCA) and the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks (ACEnet).
Interim Dean Janet Simon — Associate Dean for Research, College of Health Sciences and Professions
Dr. Simon has served as Associate Dean for Research since 2024 and is a principal investigator for the Ohio Musculoskeletal and Neurological Institute. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and is a co-investigator on NIH and Department of Defense grants totaling over $10 million. Her honors include the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association Outstanding Educator Award (2023), the College of Health Sciences and Professions Faculty Research Award (2023), and the Anita Aldrich Distinguished Alumni Award from Indiana University’s School of Public Health. She also serves in leadership and editorial roles with several sports medicine and professional organizations.
Along with our esteemed guests, Ohio University students who are interning on the grounds will be invited, a wonderful opportunity to meet and mingle for all!
