Abstract: In the last two years, we were challenged to change our style of teaching for all the classes including the laboratories. Over the centuries, teaching has been evolving from huge public lectures to apprenticeship styles and many styles in between. Now, we are evolving into a new style including a lot of use of technology, and even learning from a distance. At the same time, we learn in different ways. Most people identify themselves as auditory or visual learners. Many educators agree on seven learning styles: visual, auditory, verbal, physical, logical, social, and solitary. The last two years tested the latter styles.
In this talk, I will present various techniques that I have been using in teaching introductory physics and astronomy classes.
