Join us for Pre-Law Day 2026: a two day event designed to connect students with legal professionals, prepare for their futures in legal careers, and inspire students to pursue their goals in field of law. The keynote speech starting off Pre-Law Day 2026 will be held in the Athena Cinema on February 26 at 6 p.m. Panels and Roundtables will take place later on in Baker 240/242, Baker 239, Baker 237, Baker 235, and Baker 233. Keynote Speakers: 

This year’s Pre-Law Day will feature the renowned Sonya Pfeiffer Esq., a high profile trial attorney based at Pfeiffer Rudolf Law Firm in Charlotte, NC. Sonya began her career as a public defender and now does white collar criminal defense cases, civil litigation, and pro bono death penalty work. In 2012, Pfeiffer accomplished crucial work on the landmark Racial Justice Act litigation, and is also licensed to practice in all federal districts in NC and before the United States Supreme Court. Pfeiffer is also a proud alumna of Ohio University, where she earned her undergraduate degree from 1991 to 1995, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a minor in French.

Joining Pfeiffer will be the equally distinguished David Rudolf Esq., one of the most pre-eminent lawyers in the country, who specializes in high profile and complex criminal and civil rights cases. Rudolf has successfully represented business executives, athletes and politicians in federal white-collar investigations as well as individuals in civil rights litigation against law enforcement agencies arising from wrongful convictions, and brings with him intimate knowledge of the inner workings of these intense and high profile legal cases.
