About the students:

She is an Honors Tutorial College student studying Environmental Studies and is continuing her research related to increasing the resilience of older adults as a Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholar. Her research on climate change and aging started in Columbus, Ohio, expanded to Athens and she is now looking at international Age-Friendly Communities that are also considering sustainability in a future impacted by climate change.

She completed her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University in 2018 and served in Nepal through the Peace Corps. Laura currently works as a graduate assistant for the Center of Economic Development and Community Resilience. As an Appalachian native, she loves having the opportunity to serve those with similar values and upbringings.
