Ohio University Southern will honor local veterans during Threads of Gratitude: A Veterans Day Tribute on Thursday, Nov. 6, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Riffe Rotunda.

The ceremony will recognize veterans from the Tri-State community with handmade Quilts of Valor, crafted by members of the local quilting guild Material Hugs, which includes retired and current OHIO Southern faculty. Each quilt is personalized and created as a lasting symbol of gratitude, offering warmth and comfort to those who have served.

Quilts of Valor is a national volunteer movement that has awarded more than 250,000 quilts to service members and veterans across the country. At OHIO Southern, the presentation has become a cherished annual tradition, blending heartfelt storytelling with meaningful recognition.

The event is free and open to the public. All are invited to attend and join in celebrating and thanking local veterans for their service.
