On Oct. 9, a gallery opening and retirement reception for visual communication faculty member Sam Girton will take place in Schoonover Center. Sam retired in January after 28 years of teaching and service.

The gallery show, which will run until through Nov. 3, will be hosted in VisCom Focus gallery, while the reception will take place in the area outside the gallery on the first floor of Schoonover Center. Refreshments will be served.
