Shelley Delaney is an Ohio University Emerita Professor of Theater who taught acting for 19 years, served as Head of Performance for 12, and directed 22 productions on campus. She continues to work as an actor, director, and educator. Shelley began work with the non-profit, Shining Light, in January of 2024, teaching and facilitating an Arts and Character Development program for incarcerated adults. Shining Light has been bringing arts programming into the prison system for more than two decades. Nationally, there is an average reincarceration rate of 55%. In contrast, there is a 5% reincarceration rate for Shining Light participants.
