We are having a special Interdisciplinary college event in April of 2023: Monday-Wednesday, April 3-5th.
We are featuring a special guest, John Cullen, who will be sharing his documentary and story with us as a 62-year-old man diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
This will consist of the following events:
(Monday, April 3)
-Interdisciplinary student groups discussing their profession's role in working with Parkinson's as a diagnosis, facilitated by faculty and staff.
-watching John's documentary, with John, on how Parkinson's has impacted his life and the ways he has intersected with various professions found in HSP.
(Tuesday, April 4)
-Keynote speaker John Cullen sharing more about his life and his intersections with professions within our colleges, and hearing from his partner Pattie Stoffel, sharing her experiences with caregiving and witnessing John's diagnosis from initial diagnosis to where he is today.
(Wednesday, April 5)
- Live demonstrations of class projects centered around Parkinson's disease that are integrated into identified spring courses.
