Nursing HEAT Camp for Students

July 25-27

This is a 3-day interactive career exploration camp for incoming 7^th, 8^th and 9^th grade students interested in health professions. Within the OHIO Zanesville nursing labs and simulation center, students will work through interactive hands-on activities to learn and practice various nursing skills. In addition, students will have the opportunity to engage with an educational panel to ask questions and discuss nursing as a career path.

Participants will meet on day 2 at Genesis Healthcare System for an engaging experience. Tours and demonstrations will be given within various hospital departments. Participants will be able to see firsthand the science and skills utilized by each of these healthcare disciplines.

Cool, take-home prizes, will be given to each participant who attends all 3 days of the camp. Light lunch will be provided.
