Dr. McBryde innovated again last August, creating a haven on Nashville’s Lower Broadway with her non-alcoholic forward concept bar, Redemption, at home on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s.

Get ready for a vibrant stage experience that transcends language itself! WOW (World of Word) is more than a show — it’s an encounter, a bridge between two worlds.

Imagine a stage where ancestral African wisdom captivates the audience. Separated by a symbolic line, one group shares its knowledge through powerful storytelling, hypnotic songs, and ritual initiation, while the other receives and learns — sometimes with fear, sometimes in resistance.

The exchange begins with the obstacle of spoken language, quickly overtaken by the universal force of gesture, rhythm, and sound. The set and its ropes become a language of their own: double Dutch skipping, bungee straps, and rope-based contortion turn into pathways of communication, pulsing with dialogue. Three guiding figures — Trust (W), Respect (O), and Wisdom (W) lead the journey.

Through acrobatic contact and moments of mutual support, the dividing line fades. Bodies merge, blending tradition with contemporary movement. The finale erupts into a choreography of unity and collective awakening: the journey itself becomes a revelation.

About Kalabanté:

Kalabanté Productions was created by Yamoussa Bangoura, a multidisciplinary artist of Guinean origin. Yamoussa’s dream was the founding of a school of circus arts, and to direct his own multidisciplinary company specializing in the African arts.

Yamoussa first became interested in the Circus Arts as a young man growing up in Conakry Guinea in the 1990’s. He studied the circus performers he saw on European TV and practiced on the beach and dirt around his home. He also studied the Nyamakala tradition of circus, practiced by the Fula people of West Africa. He eventually joined Guinea’s original circus company, Circus Baobob, with whom he toured Africa and Europe.

In the early 2000’s, Yamoussa was recruited to come to Canada with Cirque Eloize, a Montreal based Canadian cirque company. While in Canada he also performed with Cirque du Soleil and Cavalia (cirque with horses). In 2007 Yamoussa realized his dream and opened his own company, Kalabanté Productions in Montreal Canada. He recruited many of his extended family members to join the company, including his twin sisters, brothers, and cousins.

The company began doing shows in Quebec, and over the years expanded to all of Canada, the USA and now performs all over the world. In 2018, Kalabante opened their own studio and school in Montreal, where they offer classes in African dance, cirque, and drumming.

Kalabante Productions is proud to be able to share their work, achievements and skills to inspire others and to assist with the humanitarian mission to help the Guinean community from which Yamoussa and many of his company members come.

MANDY GONZALEZ recently wrapped eight months of weekly guest performances in the leading role of Norma Desmond in the Tony Award Winning Broadway Revival production of SUNSET BLVD.

She previously starred in HAMILTON as Angelica Schuyler (2016-2022), as Elphaba in WICKED (2010-2011), but is perhaps best known for originating the role of Nina Rosario in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway musical IN THE HEIGHTS, for which she received a Drama Desk award.

Along with the visual images of colored lights and snowy landscapes, the spirit of the Christmas season is best captured in music. For centuries, brass instruments have been able to convey the spirit of festive occasions, especially Christmas. As they perform some of the world’s most well-known carols, the musicians of the Dallas Brass brilliantly express the celebratory spirit of the season. There are more songs for Christmas than all of the other holidays combined – and no artist or ensemble performs them better than the Dallas Brass. Happy Holidays with Dallas Brass adds sacred and secular holiday favorites to the regular variety of Dallas Brass repertoire. Jane Monheit is a jazz and adult contemporary vocalist with a deep passion for the Great American Songbook. With many highly acclaimed solo albums, countless awards and accolades, and over two decades of international touring experience, Jane has not only been an extremely successful bandleader, but has had the privilege of making music with some of the greatest musicians, arrangers, and producers in jazz.

During her childhood, Jane studied woodwinds and piano, spent a decade performing in award winning choirs, and participated in community theater on Long Island. Throughout all of this, her focus remained on jazz, especially interpretation of the Songbook. At the age of 20, during her senior year at the prestigious Manhattan School Of Music, Jane placed second in the Thelonious Monk Competition, now known as the Hancock Competition. This led to an incredible career trajectory, catapulting Jane into the jazz stratosphere nearly overnight.

By 22, Jane was working with legends such as Tommy Flanagan, Ron Carter, and Kenny Barron, recording her first albums, and touring the planet. This led to collaborations with jazz luminaries such as Terence Blanchard, Ivan Lins, Tom Harrell, John Pizzarelli, Christian McBride, Vince Mendoza, Jorge Calandrelli, and many more. Countless television appearances followed, including David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, CBS Sunday Morning, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, The View, and many popular international talk shows. Several successful film soundtracks have also included Jane’s music, including Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow and Never Let Me Go.

After more than twenty years, twelve studio albums and countless recorded guest appearances, Jane has continued to tour the world nearly nonstop, including playing iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, and headlining at nearly every legendary jazz club on the planet, most notably NY stalwarts such as the Village Vanguard and Birdland. In addition to touring, she also writes English lyrics for Ivan Lins, and uses the knowledge and experience she has gained both at Manhattan School Of Music and on the legendary bandstands of the world to educate and uplift students worldwide. Jane resides in Los Angeles with her husband of over twenty years, drummer Rick Montalbano, and their son.

The Broadway Boys is a collection of diverse male voices from the New York stage. Representing shows such as HAMILTON, WICKED, JERSEY BOYS, THE LION KING, THE BOOK OF MORMON, MJ THE MUSICAL, LES MISERABLES, MAMMA MIA, HADESTOWN, and many more. The Boys rearrange traditional musical theater tunes with elements of pop, funk, gospel and rock for an exciting new take on Broadways' greatest hits.
